North Devon biosphere reserve

Eggesford is within the North Devon biosphere reserve, which is a UNESCO recognised location.
"Biospheres Reserves are a unique network of special places for people and nature. They are chosen to be representative of their region and to be sites of excellence in which to explore and demonstrate approaches to conservation and sustainable development." That's what it says on the biosphere website

We are included in this because the reserve covers the catchment area of the Taw and Torridge and is not dependent on government boundaries.
The website is worth a visit.
